A connector is a "bridge" used in electronic devices to connect two circuit subsystems or components. It is responsible for transmitting power and data signals. In the field of consumer electronics, connectors are everywhere, from the visible phone charging ports and headphone jacks, to the ribbon cables that connect the screen and battery inside the phone, all belong to the category of connectors.

The application of consumer electronic connectors is extremely extensive, covering almost all electronic products we use in our daily lives.

1. Smartphones and tablets

This is the most densely populated field for connector applications.

External interfaces: USB-C/Lightning charging and data interface, headphone jack (gradually phased out), SIM card holder.

Internal connection:

Board to board connector: It connects the main board and sub board, camera module, display module, etc., and is the "neural network" inside the mobile phone.

Flexible circuit board connectors: connect screens, batteries, fingerprint recognition modules, vibration motors, etc.

Battery connector: Provides power to the phone.

2. Laptops and desktop computers

External interfaces: USB-A/C, HDMI, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt interface, audio interface, Ethernet interface, power interface.

Internal connections: CPU socket, memory slot, M.2 SSD interface, SATA interface, fan power interface, etc.

3. Wearable devices

Such as smartwatches, wireless headphones, smart bracelets, etc. The requirements for connectors in such devices are miniaturization, lightweight, and high reliability.

Application: Internal battery connection, sensor connection, wireless charging coil connection, etc.

4. Smart homes and IoT devices

Such as smart speakers, smart cameras, routers, smart door locks, etc.

Applications: power interface, data transmission between internal modules, antenna connectors, etc.

5. Audiovisual entertainment equipment

Such as televisions, game consoles, speakers, headphones, etc.

Applications: HDMI, fiber optic audio, various audio and video input and output interfaces, as well as complex circuit connections within devices.

6. Photography equipment

Such as digital cameras and drones. In addition to common data interfaces, its internal connectors for connecting high-resolution sensors and image processors require extremely high data transmission rates.
